Norkring selects Net Insight's Nimbra platform for Digital Terrestrial TV distribution network in Slovenia

Stockholm, Sweden - Net Insight, leading developer of efficient and scalable
transport solutions for media, IP and broadcast networks, has received an order
from Norkring, Norway's leading provider media operator, for the first phase of
a new Digital Terrestrial TV distribution network in Slovenia.
Norkring, owned by Telenor, is Norway's leading provider of broadcasting
services, delivering infrastructure and network services to premier broadcasters
and network operators. They will now build a new Digital Terrestrial TV (DTT)
network in Slovenia based on Net Insight's Nimbra platform to distribute TV to
transmitter stations across the country. The network will provide scalable data
services multicast capabilities and incorporate Net Insight's unique Time
Transfer feature for GPS-free time synchronization, which eliminates the need
for costly and potentially vulnerable GPS synchronization receivers in the
network.
Net Insight's Nimbra platform is a flexible and cost-effective solution with
unique features for delivering digital TV. For the operator this means lower
operational costs and better utilization of the network.
