MobileVerbs to Bring Text-Message Voting to Zee TV USA

Zee TV USA Inc., a self-described “flagship” ethnic entertainment channel, announced today that it’s partnered with MobileVerbs Inc., a provider of on-demand Mobile Marketing Platform, so that audience members can send in a text message to choose their favorite artist.

As Zee TV USA expands into the mobile channel, the audience will also be able to access additional programming content from mobile devices, company officials say. The programming organizers will now have the audience voting results at their fingertips with the help of real-time analytics dashboard. MobileVerbs says that its agreement with Zee is an important step as it can showcase its superior mobile marketing capabilities with this agreement.

For the past 15 years, Zee TV has been airing “SA RE GA MA PA” (the first five notes of music), a premier music show. The show tries to bring to their viewer all that is good in Indian music from its inception has strived to promote quality singing of a varied range of music forms, company officials say.

Mobile campaigns, such as Zee TV premium voting, will now become relevant to the current situation of target users as the patent-pending Situational Decision Engine within MobileVerbs platform makes this possible. The audience votes will automatically be logged by region, date, time and other parameters, officials say. Apart from allowing voting for contests, this platform also works for other forms of interactivity such as polls, surveys, coupons, advertisements, store locators, mobile catalogs and dynamic WAP sites. All this can be setup from the MobileVerbs campaign management tool, without any programming.

The campaigns are delivered via e-mail, text, MMS, Internet, or mobile Web, according to the company. MobileVerbs looks to offer a self-service platform for multi-channel campaign lifecycle management as it allows marketers to launch their campaigns in a matter of minutes at a fraction of the cost.

“We are excited about the opportunity to leverage the most innovative mobile marketing solution from MobileVerbs,” says Jaideep Balial, a vice president at Zee TV USA. “We have always strived to engage our audience in helping decide the winners of SA RE GA MA PA,” says Jaideep Balial, Vice President and Head of Programming at Zee TV USA. And cell phones are a convenient means for our audience to engage with our programming. The MobileVerbs service will allow the audience to cast their vote for their favorite artist by simply sending in a SMS message. We are excited about the opportunity to leverage the most innovative mobile marketing solution from MobileVerbs”
