Vision IPTV's Apps Allow Broadcasters to Deliver Content on Android or iOS Devices

By Madhubanti Rudra, TMCnet Contributor

Vision IPTV (News - Alert), the UK-based provider of a complete online video platform solution for TV channels and content owners, recently announced that it has been shortlisted as the UK’s Most Innovative Mobile Company by Smart UK Project, which has been created to celebrate and reward innovation in the UK’s mobile industry.

Vision IPTV has been shortlisted for its white label video apps that the company provides along with its suite of services for broadcasters. Designed to deliver high quality video content to any Android (News - Alert) and iOS device, these apps deploy the latest adaptive http streaming support and manual bit rate selection, according to a press release.

Vision IPTV’s white label video apps make great marketing tools for broadcasters and content owners to engage directly with customers through online video and television channels. By enabling instant access to content, anywhere, anytime, the apps can increase brand loyalty.

Vision IPTV’s native apps are fully integrated with the company’s content management system and content distribution platform, providing a complete backend solution that can be customized for broadcasters and content owners.

As these apps support all current commercial models like subscription, pay-as-you-go, PPV and advertiser funded, broadcasters and content owners can effectively monetize their video content.

For the viewers, the personalization options make the viewing experience more engaging. With these apps, the viewers are allowed to program their own VOD and live channel streaming links into their own players.

“Until now, complex technical and business challenges meant streaming on mobile devices was not that simple. But now, with our white label video apps, any broadcaster or content owner can quickly and cost-effectively deliver video content to any Android or iOS device,” John Mills, CEO of Vision IPTV, explained in a statement.

In July last year, Vision IPTV unveiled the latest addition to its suite of services for broadcasters: the addition of Roku capability to Vision IPTV's platform for delivery of internet TV and video.

This enables broadcasters and video content owners to extend the reach of their broadcast services to more than one million homes in North America that have access to a Roku set top box.
