Santa Clara, California-based Nokeena Networks reportedly has unveiled its so-called “Media Flow Director” as an intelligent and cost-effective way to stream video and other rich media files while providing a TV-like viewing experience.

Raghavan added that his company’s solution lets media providers engage new and larger audiences without disrupting their existing infrastructure. The company wanted to design a solution that fits into, rather than expands, the existing hardware of the organization that uses it. Clients who deploy the solution are no longer trapped between the increasing demands of their customers and the constraints imposed by their delivery infrastructure.

 

Break Media says that it opted for the Media Flow Director after waiting for a solution that would let them offer a range of value-added services and scale massively to accommodate the demands for rich content. The solution also helps the company immensely to maintain and increase customer loyalty and also generate new revenue streams.

 

Nokeena is targeting content publishers and advertisers with its Media Flow Director, as well as CDNs attempting to lower caching expense while maintaining Quality of Service.
