Mariner will be participating in Cisco's (News - Alert) IPTV workshop at the TelcoTV 2009 Conference and Expo to be held Nov. 10-12 in Orlando, Fla. Mariner provides innovative IP video solutions and technologies to the expanding IPTV (News - Alert) industry.

At the workshop, Mariner will demonstrate its xVu suite of IPTV service monitoring tools. These tools bring complete end-to-end monitoring of the access and home network to Cisco's IPTV solution by leveraging the innovative Visual Quality of Experience (VQE) platform. The collaboration follows the success of Mariner's full integration of xVu with Cisco's VQE platform.

In a release, Curtis Howe, president and CEO of Mariner, said the incorporation of Mariner's xVu solution with Cisco's VQE platform improves the quality of experience for IPTV consumers and also helps service providers to generate sustainable revenues from IPTV services. Cisco's TelcoTV Workshop is taking place at the Orange County Convention Center on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The workshop will partly consist of a live demonstration of the xVu suite of real-time monitoring toolsets. Telcos will also describe their experiences with Cisco's IPTV solution at the workshop.

Mariner’s xVu is the only IPTV service assurance solution that provides complete end-to-end network monitoring. Its total coverage enables service providers to identify and fix network issues before they negatively affect the end user. This helps to reduce costly truck rolls and customer churn.

Cisco's IPTV solution is based on open systems architecture and industry standards, along with the VQE technology that gives service providers a comprehensive suite of services. These services enable providers to optimize bandwidth use, reduce error rates through error correction, provide rapid channel change and improve the overall user experience.

The incorporation of Mariner's xVu tools with Cisco's VQE technology is the result of a year long collaboration. The resulting integrated version of xVu was enables service provider to gain measured insight and troubleshooting control into network and home related issues as well as speed response to service-quality issues.

Mariner offers a full suite of IP video systems integration, consulting services and launch and service assurance products. Mariner’s xVu is a fusion of IP video technology innovation and learned QoE best practices. It offers service providers revolutionary capabilities like non-intrusive, end-to-end service monitoring, task-purposed user portals, auto-diagnostics and self-healing and the ability to capture viewing statistics.
