WideOrbit and Techtel Partner to Deliver Solutions to Australasian Market

WideOrbit Inc., a provider of business management software for Media companies and Techtel (News - Alert), an independent supplier to the broadcast television, radio and communications markets in the Australasian market, reportedly have partnered to deliver WideOrbit solutions to the Australasian region.
Techtel will represent WideOrbit’s Radio Automation solutions in Australia and New Zealand.
“The partnership with Techtel will enable WideOrbit to most effectively serve the needs of the market in Australia and New Zealand,” said Eric Mathewson, founder and CEO of WideOrbit, in a release
“We are looking forward to leaning on Techtel’s 25+ years working with broadcasters in the region,” said Mathewson.
WideOrbit officials claim the company’s radio automation solution, WO Automation for Radio, is the industry’s most modern radio automation system, ensuring that stations are on the air and sounding great every minute of every day.
WO Automation for Radio, formerly Google (News - Alert) Radio Automation, was acquired by WideOrbit in August 2009.
WO Automation for Radio works seamlessly with WO Traffic, WideOrbit’s traffic software, is providing a complete, state-of-the-art solution for Radio broadcasters.
Techtel is recognized as a specialist company for the Australasian region, helping to bridge the gap between computer technology and traditional radio and television broadcasting technology.
Company officials said Techtel will represent WO Automation for Radio in Australia and New Zealand.
Techtel will provide sales, service and support for WideOrbit’s radio automation solutions.

Elsmore said that the company looks forward to a long and prosperous partnership.
In October WideOrbit Inc had announced that it has expanded operations into the Asia Pacific region with the opening of a new office in Melbourne, Australia and appointment of Neil Hamilton as Director of Asia Pacific Operations.
