BT Conferencing Expands BT One Source for Polycom Immersive

BT Conferencing, a provider of audio, video and Web collaboration services, has stated that their BT (News - Alert) One Source for Polycom Immersive has been enhanced with newer features in order to offer greater convenience and reliability to consumers.
The BT One Source for Polycom (News - Alert) Immersive solution combines Polycom’s RealPresence Experience and Polycom Telepresence Experience immersive telepresence solutions with BT Conferencing’ management services so that customers can have a reliable easy-to-use cost-effective telepresence solution.
The upgraded solution has new capabilities that will allow users to automatically launch telepresence sessions using BT's Engage suite of software tools EndPoint Connect and Bridge Connect.
This is also said to be the first in a series of enhancements planned by BT and Polycom to focus on the immersive telepresence segment. BT bridging services and business-to-business connectivity for Polycom Immersive products are currently in the product pipeline.
BT has claimed that its One Source services provide users with a single partner for all of their Polycom telepresence and video conferencing needs. Customers can tailor their solution with a mix of solutions and services to meet specific business requirements. These features along with BT's extensive global IP network across 170 countries and 24/7 helpdesk support, ensures quality of conferencing services for customers worldwide.
Jeff Prestel, general manager of BT Conferencing' Video Business Unit has commented that with the rapid evolution of the telepresence and video conferencing market, customers increasingly want greater convenience and flexibility. BT One Source for Polycom gives their customers a simple, reliable and cost effective immersive video experience.
Polycom has added that BT and they offer comprehensive solutions combining products and services that customers require for enterprise-wide visual communication deployments. Their partnership with BT satisfies customers’ need for flexibility and interoperability and also offers world-class managed services and support combined with a complete range of Polycom standards-based telepresence and video conferencing solutions to meet customers’ specific business requirements.
In related news, BT Conferencing unveiled new pricing plans and BT deployed Volt Delta's OASIS call center solution.
