Cameron Joins Hands With BTI systems and Extends Network Services

Cameron communications best known for delivering hi-tech services to rural areas, has combined with BTI systems to extend its fiber-based network services, in an effort to give the community greater access to advanced broadband, VOD, and IPTV (News - Alert) services.
BTI Systems re-defines service delivery with its packet-optical service platforms that help over 200 service provider and enterprise customers converge, transition and connect Ethernet, video and wireless data services in their metropolitan networks.
Cameron Communications joins over 200 service provider, utility, and enterprise companies working with BTI Systems (News - Alert) to increase service delivery capabilities and network capacity utilizing BTI Systems' packet optical networking platforms.

Cameron Communications will boost fiber infrastructure for 13 territories with WDM "virtual fiber" and consolidate service delivery in parts of Texas and Louisiana using BTI's one platform approach Robert Large, network manager at Cameron Communications, said.
Large said that with the help of"BTI Systems, Cameron could greatly increase network capacity and deliver services through a cost-effective network. This would mean that services for customers would also become affordable.
The BTI 7000 Series-converging Layer 0 through Layer 2-with integrated Carrier Ethernet, multi-service optical, and WDM functionality simplifies network upgrades. Cameron can deploy a high-capacity, 10Gbps and switched Ethernet service infrastructure and collapse existing SONET OC-48 infrastructure onto the same fiber pair from a single platform.
The packetVX, a modular component of the BTI 7000 Series, offers Cameron an integrated Carrier Ethernet-based approach to address bandwidth requirements for IPTV and video on demand.

Gilner further added that BTI Systems provided the backbone for service providers like Cameron Communications to build a future-focused network today, bringing speed and performance to customers.
In keeping with its trend of helping service providers,BTI Systems, the company that re-defines metro service delivery, announced that Network USA, a regional telecommunications service provider, is using the BTI 7000 Series to deliver next-generation telecommunications services throughout Louisiana.
