Crackle Offers Premium Movie Subscription On V CAST Video For Verizon Wireless Customers

Crackle, the multi-platform video entertainment network from Sony Pictures Television, is offering a new premium subscription movie service on V CAST Video for Verizon (News - Alert) Wireless customers. Verizon’s customers will now have access to on-demand high quality content from the Sony Pictures' vast library of television series and feature films including "Cable Guy," "Finding Graceland," "Blind Date," "The China Syndrome," "Easy Rider," "Gattaca," "La Bamba," and much more on their smartphones. As United States’ most reliable and largest wireless voice and 3G data network, Verizon wirelesses’ 92 million customers will now be able subscribe for the movie premium services at an additional cost of $5.99 per month.

Eric Berger, senior vice president, digital networks, Sony Pictures Television said, “We're excited to bring Crackle's selection of great movies to Verizon Wireless. Together, we are enhancing the mobile entertainment experience for Verizon Wireless customers with highly engaging full-length features.”

Commenting on the new premium subscription services from Crackle, Terry Denson, vice president of content acquisition and strategy at Verizon said, “This new option for V CAST Video customers will let them watch movies on demand on their phones. Crackle Movies' catalog rounds out the choices for our customers.”

As one of the fastest growing entertainment destinations on the Internet today, Crackle offers quality programming in a variety of genres, including comedy, action, sci-fi, horror, music and reality. As a promotional offer, the new subscribers will have access to more than 19 movies, with two new movies refreshed per week, totaling to around 25 different movies accessible per month. V CAST-capable phones can get Crackle movies from Media Center/Get It Now® under V CAST Video/Pop Culture/Crackle Movies. Blackberry customers can find it under Menu/V CAST Video/Pop Culture/Crackle Movies while Android (News - Alert) customers can search for V CAST Video app in the Android Market. Premium Crackle Originals, which include web series ranging from comedy to suspense, and shorter versions of classic television shows, can also be accessed under the "Cutting Edge" category using one’s smartphone.

In addition to the $10monthly subscription for V CAST Video on Demand and $5.99 for Crackle premium services, Customers need not pay any extra megabyte charges for downloading, streaming and watching V CAST content however a data package subscription is a must for data usage allowance.
